Pastor’s Note 07/18/2024

If you weren’t able to come with us to the Padre game last Sunday, you missed a great time! The weather was perfect, the game was fun (except that the Padres lost) and we had a great time being together. We will have

another LCPC day at the Padre game so I hope that you will join us then.

This Sunday we take another look at The Angles of Love at our church as we learn about Jesus being the Good Shepherd.

Hope that you can join us.

Pastor’s Note 07/12/2024

“41 Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem

for the Festival of the Passover.

42 When He was twelve years old,

they went up to the festival, according to the custom.”

(Luke 2:41 & 42)

Do you have a memorable family vacation? Maybe it was annual trip to a favorite vacation spot. Maybe it was a multi-state road trip or a once-in-a-lifetime overseas trip. Or maybe it was seeing your cousins every year over a holiday. I suspect that your memorable vacation wasn’t anything like Jesus’ vacation to the Festival of the Passover when He was twelve.

This week at our Sunday worship service we look at Jesus’ annual family trip to Jerusalem in Luke chapter 2 and the variety of things that we learn about Jesus and His relationship to His family, to God and what that means for us.

Hope that you can join us in person or online.

Have a great rest of the week!
