Pastor’s Note 06/16/22
“31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
Mark 4:31 & 32
Have you ever wondered if your efforts for God make a difference? Does your time, your effort and your resources that you put into “church” really make a difference for God’s Kingdom? Let me say that it does and the above parable reminds us of that.
I am always amazed at how God uses us for His work. Sometimes it is obvious but most of the time it goes unnoticed; but God’s Word states that even the smallest of seeds grows into a large plant.
When we are generous with our resources for God’s Kingdom, amazing things happen. God grows them and His kingdom expands.
Join us this Sunday as we look deeper at the Gospel of Mark and some of Jesus’ parables about the Kingdom.
Pastor’s Note 06/09/22
“… whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven;
they are guilty of an eternal sin.”
Mark 3:29
This week as we continue our study in the Book of Mark we come across the above verse where Jesus talks about a sin that will never be forgiven and we wonder, “Is there something in our lives that we have done that God won’t forgive?” Is there a deep sin that He won’t forgive? Come this Sunday morning as we see what this passage means for us.
It is a busy weekend at church with an All-Church Work Day on Saturday starting at 8:00am, followed by a Memorial Service for Maxine Elliot at 1:00pm. On Sunday join us for Worship at 9:45am, followed by Adult Sunday School at 11am and the Women’s Tea at Joy Wray’s house at 2pm.
Have a great rest of the week and I hope that you can join us some time this weekend.
