A Note from Pastor Tim . . .
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Psalm 121:1 & 2
Last Sunday we learned from Psalm 121 that we have a God who is looking out for us. He watches over us in all of life’s ups and downs and He will be with us now and in the future.
I don’t know if you are like me but I need to be reminded of this over and over and over again. I may come to a difficult situation in my life and I will think that God doesn’t care and that He has forgotten about me and my situation. That is where God’s Word and God’s people come into play.
I need to read the Scriptures (Psalm 121; Psalm 23; Proverbs 3:5,6; Romans 8 come to mind) and I need God’s people to remind me of God’s trustworthiness during my difficult times.
That is why it is so important to be in relationships with Godly people. They will be the ones to remind us of God’s faithfulness and they will be the ones who will be praying with us.
One of the traditions of LCPC has been having people available after each church worship service to pray with those who would like prayer. We are once again starting this each week having people available to pray.
You may be going through a difficult situation or life circumstance and it is good to have others that can pray with us and remind us that God is with us, that He is good and trustworthy and generous and that He loves us.
So if you are going through a difficult time or if you know someone that is going through a difficult time, know that there will be people available to pray with you each Sunday.
Have a great rest of the week and know that I am praying for you.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.
