On Monday I became a grandpa, again! Our daughter Lizzy and her husband Zack had their baby, Joseph Zachary Ziegler. It has been a busy week for us with visits to the hospital and welcoming Lizzy, Zack, and Joey home. We also have been taking care of their dog while they adjust to life at their home with a newborn.
Thanks for many of you who have offered words of congratulations. Karyn and I appreciate it.
Have a great week, happy Valentine’s Day and I hope to see you on Sunday.

My mom always taught me that it was important to write a “Thank You” note for a gift that I received. Writing a “thank you” note acknowledge the generosity or kindness of someone else. It is something that you and I need to do often.
With that in mind, tax season is upon us, and I was thinking about the church’s Contribution Statements that you have received acknowledging the monetary gifts that you gave to the ministry of Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church, and I wanted to say, “thank you.”
The ministry and mission of this church could not take place without your generosity, so know that the church’s Session and I are extremely thankful for your generous gifts. We could not live out our mission statement
“To Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples of Jesus” and be a part of God’s Kingdom work here in Lakeside and around the world without your gifts.
Hope to see you on Sunday.
