Pastor’s Note 04/10/2025

Palm Sunday begins a week of preparations for Easter and the celebration of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Every year, Easter is a reminder of the hope, faith and love in Christ. It reminds us that our failures are not final, and dying things can find new life.

I hope that you will join us for our upcoming Holy Week and Easter celebrations. Who in your life needs to be invited to one of these special services?

     Monday – Friday 12pm –

     Holy Week Communion Service

Join us each day for a short service that               includes a meditation and communion as we         walk with Christ to the cross.

Thursday – 6pm Maundy Thursday Service

A soup supper will take place at 5pm followed
by a service remembering Christ’s last night         with His disciples when He shared the Last           Supper with them and provided meaning for         His forth coming death.
Friday – 7pm Good Friday Service

Join us for a service remembering the sacrifice      that Jesus made on the cross for our sins. The      “rites of nails” will take place as we physically      nail our sins to the cross.

Pastor’s Note 03/20/2025

A Note from Pastor Tim . . .

How is your journey through Lent going?

I suspect that for some of us, it has been a truly spiritual journey, walking, talking, and growing closer to Jesus. The spiritual disciplines that you have added (or things that you have subtracted/given up during Lent) are helping you form your inner life. You are walking closer with Jesus, growing spiritually more and more.

I also know that there are many of us, when Lent started a few weeks ago, had good intentions to renew our spiritual journey and walk closer with Jesus, but up to now, nothing has changed. Life got in the way with interruptions and distractions, or we just forgot, so your journey with Jeus is not different than before.

Let me encourage you at this mid-point of Lent to return to the journey. Don’t think that you have to try harder or work at being disciplined, start by asking the Holy Spirit to walk with you. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew a desire of walking closer with Jesus. That would be a good next step.

Our journeys with Christ will always have peaks and valleys. Times where we are walking close with Jesus and times when we are feeling distant but know that the Spirit never leaves us. Walk humbly with the Spirit and He will draw us closer to Jesus.

Have a great rest of the week and I will see you on Sunday.
