Pastor’s Note 3/19/21
“Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
When you hear these words spoken what do you think? What does God’s Kingdom look like to you here on earth? Here in Lakeside? How do God’s Kingdom people act? These are important questions to ask as we seek to be Jesus’ disciples here on earth and especially in Lakeside. This is the place where God has planted us to demonstrate His Kingdom values and to expand His kingdom on earth.
I hope that you can join us this Sunday as we learn another lesson from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and living out His Kingdom Values. Know that I am praying for you and for our church.

Pastor’s Note 3/11/21
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” Matthew 6:34 (The Message)
Do you worry about what is going to happen tomorrow? I know that I do. It is easy for each of us to worry about what might happen next in our lives but in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, He gives some reassurances about God’s faithfulness and trustworthiness. That is what our focus will be as we continue to listen to Jesus as He describes “the Upside Down Kingdom.”
I hope that you will be able to join us on-line for the live stream of our worship service at 9:30 am on You Tube. If you can’t join us live, then be sure to watch later.
Also, don’t forget to mark your calendar for our upcoming live in person services:
- March 28th at 10 am – Palm Sunday at Lindo Lake Park, large pavilion
- April 4th at 10 am – Easter Sunday at Lindo Lake Park, large pavilion
- April 11th at 9:30 am – Worship at LCPC in the sanctuary.
Each of these services will be great opportunities for you to invite your family and friends to celebrations of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We will also be posting each of our services on-line if you are unable to attend in person but please get the word out, we will be back together starting March 28 (of course we will continue to follow COVID protocols of properly wearing masks, social distance, etc.)
Hope to see you soon.
