Pastor’s Note 01/09/2025
Let me ask, are you reading a chapter a day in the Book of Proverbs?
Last week, I gave the challenge for each of us to read a chapter from the book of Proverbs that corresponded to that day of the month. Do this on a regular basis is a good habit, or a spiritual discipline that will get us into God’s Word as we seek to be wise followers of Christ. Don’t worry if you haven’t been reading or that you forgot certain days. You can easily pick up reading any day of the week.
This week as we continue our sermon series “In Search of Wisdom” we come to a simple task, If you want wisdom, you need to ask God for it. But that simple task seems to elude us, especially when we come to difficult and painful circumstances.
Hope that you will join us this Sunday as we continue our sermon series on Godly wisdom.
Have a great rest of the week.

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His Name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14 (ESV) |

In Isaiah, Christ is called Immanuel, “God with us,” which is a remarkable gift to a broken world. A little Baby was God incarnate. This astonishing prophesy became reality. The eternal love that God offers each of us — both as we celebrate Christmas and throughout the year — lives in our hearts and is reflected in our relationships with one another and with our world.
